MySpace po Russki to Close its Office in Russia

MySpace, that has announced restructuring the general operations, will tighten the Russian office upon Jun 30, reliable MySpace Russia’s Legal Director Andrei Mironov to Webplanet.

MySpace opened the Russian bureau in Moscow in 2008. MySpace Russia operations is managed by CEO Alexander Turkot. The association lists 8 employees upon the Russian web-page.

According to TNS Web Index, MySpace has the monthly strech of 1 million people in Russia in May 2009 vs. heading Russian amicable networks VKontakte.ru with the monthly strech of some-more than 13 million people as well as Odnoklassniki.ru with the monthly strech of 12 million people.

The Russian amicable networking market is dominated by Russian amicable networks Vkontakte, Odnoklassniki.ru as well as MoiKrug (which was acquired by Yandex in 2007).
