A ‘personal blog’ is one that an individual uses to write about whatever they feel like writing about, whatever interests them As such, it is personally motivated and can contain whatever they feel like including. Those things can be real simple stuff like what they had for breakfast upto more mundane stuff such as them pondering on life, the universe and everything.
The business blog, or corporate blog, is a relatively new experience. They are generally an attempt by the business owners to show a “human face” to their business, to engage with their customers. A business blog will contain the more ‘human’ side of what is happening in the business, to show that rather than just being an entity with a sole purpose of making money there is a more “responsible” side to the business.
A fair few companies have started on the whole “coporate responsibility” kick, trying to show that the things that the business does is “for a reason” and not just because they can do whatever they want in the pursuit of money.
It is a difficult task to produce a business blog as, while you want to show your company as being responsible for its actions you don’t want to reveal too much about in the inner business workings or appear like your business is being “soft” on people at the expense of making money, which is ultimately the purpose of a business,
