I’ve sold loads over the Internet- some goods based services e.g music Cd’s, gifts , jewellery etc. (not on eBay- but in my own on line shops).

I’ve also had businesses that sell electronic goods- no stock involved- such as websites and search engine submission service, digital downloads and ebooks.

I no longer do this because i’m lazy and do other things, but if you have ambition and market it correctly, you can usually overcome the competition- you have to be patient and stick it out. In conclusion- I think the internet is the future and will only increase- if it’s been done- doesn’t matter- repackage it and sell it again in a different way.

If you’re looking to be discovered by Google and be bought out for $16B, then that’s not the way.

If you want to do it for fun and you genuinely are interested in your project, then you should do it. Yhere’s never been a better time to feast on this “emo” generation. A site like digg/delicious would be good, but you also need to look at market share, so to speak.

Digg and delicious have a large monopoly on the … internet bookmarking?… business. So you might need a fresh idea that hasn’t been thought of yet, and you might strike gold!

First of all think abt the kind of internet business you want to start and then research the market and accordingly plan your strategies for that.

There are lots of things u can do but a proper research should be there. And i think no idea is vague, you have to know the concepts and the ways to make that idea work.
